Worked under the supervision of a Journeyman Electrician to install 2x4 recessed and surface-mounted light fixtures in commercial ceiling grid systems. Helped remove outdated lighting units and prepare electrical boxes and ceiling grids for new fixture installation. Pulled wire, ran conduit, and assisted in making safe and code-compliant terminations using proper connectors and tools. Supported testing and troubleshooting of light fixtures using multimeters to check voltage, continuity, and proper grounding. Replaced faulty components such as ballasts, drivers, and sockets under direction, learning to identify symptoms of electrical failure. Followed all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, use of PPE, and maintaining a clean, hazard-free work area. Gained hands-on experience reading wiring diagrams and understanding lighting circuits in real-world job sites. Assisted with job site cleanup, material handling, ladder work, and basic tool use to ensure smooth workflow and safety.

Installed two single-pole rocker switches within a double-gang switch box. Each switch will independently control one light fixture. The power source will be a single circuit (120V) feeding both switches. The scope includes rough-in wiring, switch installation, fixture connection, and final testing.

Installation of Multi-Way Switching: Four 4-Way Switches and Two 3-Way Switches Across Three Double-Gang Boxes on a Single Pole Circuit with Two Light Fixtures.

Successfully completed the rough-in and wiring of a complex branch circuit installation featuring: Five multi-way switches: Three 4-way switches and two 3-way switches providing multi-location control for light fixtures. 9 duplex receptacles: Strategically placed to meet layout plans and NEC requirements. 3 light fixtures: Controlled by the multi-way switches. Full EMT conduit installation with properly sized wire pulls using fish tape and best practices for conductor grouping.

Successfully completed the installation and wiring of a new breaker box (load center) to distribute power to multiple branch circuits, including: (4) Standard duplex receptacles (1) Dedicated 20-amp receptacle (for higher-load equipment) (2) Single-pole switches (2) 3-way switches controlling 3 light fixtures Work included layout, panel mounting, conductor routing, circuit protection, device rough-in, final terminations, and functional testing.
